De Country Music Association had een grote verrassing beloofd op hun jaarlijkse uitreiking van de CMA Awards. Op het einde van de 3 uur durende TV-show werd de laatste prijs "Entertainer of the year" aangekondigd door niemand minder dan Shania Twain. Toen ze op het podium verscheen kreeg ze een staande ovatie. Het was immers haar eerste publieke optreden sinds mei, toen het nieuws over haar scheiding bekend raakte. De gelukkige winnaar was Kenny Chesney. Toen hij de trofee van Shania in de handen kreeg merktte hij op "You look really good tonight!" De 43 jarige Shania Twain was zelf al eens "Entertainer of the year" in 1999, en haar laatste verschijning op de CMA Awards was geleden van 2004. John Michael Montgomery, met wie ze ooit op tournee ging, merktte op "I just hate the fact that she went through her trials and tribulations, and I hope that she comes back as strong as ever. If she puts her mind to it, you ain't going to stop her."

Shania was niet aanwezig in Calgary waar de uitreiking van "Canadian Country Music Awards" door ging. Toch won ze er de trofee "Top Selling Album of the Year" voor haar laatste album "Greatest Hits". Het is reeds haar 25ste trofee op de "Canadian Country Music Awards" sinds haar eerste in 1995, jawel 10 jaar terug!

De jaarlijkse prijsuitreiking had dit jaar plaats op woensdag 21 april en ging door in het Gaylord Entertainment Center in downtown Nashville. Host van de show was deze keer Dolly Parton. Shania zag haar video clip van "Forever and For Always" bekroont met de prijs "Female Video of the Year ". Haar commentaar hierop luidde: "Holy cow! Wow! I didn't expect this. This is really wonderful. What a great surprise. Thank you so much. Wow! I love you guys. Thank you." Ze is tevens de eerste artiest die er in slaagt om drie opeenvolgende albums met diamant-verkoopcijfers te produceren.

De uitreiking van de Billboard Music Awards 2003 vond plaats in het Grand Hôtel MGM Casino te Las Vegas. Shania kaapte er drie onderscheidingen weg. Shania won er dankzij haar album "Up!" volgende onderscheidingen "Country Artist of the Year", "Country Album Artist of the Year" en "Country Album of the year". Ze trad die avond ook op en bracht er "She's Not Just a Pretty Face" samen met 100 kinderen die speciaal geselecteerd werden voor deze gebeurtenis.

De prijsuitreiking ging dit jaar door op 6 april 2003 in het Corel Centre van Ottawa-Gatineau. Shania was er de host en mocht er ook een optreden weggeven. De winnaars van de "41th Annual Grammy Awards" werden op 24 februari 1999 bekendgemaakt in het Shrine Auditorium van Los Angeles. Shania won er 2 onderscheidingen: - "Best Female Country Vocal Performance" voor het lied "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" - "Best Country Song" voor het lied "Come On Over"
